The Tactical System
We need to choose a formation once we know the players on the first team.
Which formation should we choose? 4-3-3 is not for us, because we don’t have wing forwards. So we need two forwards up front. They can be strikers or center forwards.
We are weak in midfield. I don’t think we will perform well if we control our offense through midfield. Our offense relies on the speed of our forwards. Our passing should be a mix of long and short passes. We can’t use short passes forever.
The formation will be 5-3-2 first. When we play a team stronger than us, our team’s overall mindset is defensive — still cautious, but willing to attack if a good opportunity arises. Five defenders and a deep defensive block will make up for our weaknesses in midfield defense. A deep block will also create better opportunities for our high-speed forwards.
There are four forwards in the squad. They are all fast. So we bring on two substitutes after 65 minutes. There will be more opportunities once the defenders tire.
There will be a match against one of the league’s teams. We will see how the tactical system works then.
