The Players
We are evaluating players, especially young players. I hope we can find some players with high potential. Then they can be powerful when they mature.
We are thinking about formations at the same time. There are many kinds of formations: 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 3-5-2, and more. We need the players to fit the formations before we make a decision.
There are three goalkeepers on the team. The first one plays robustly, and he has high influence. This can help him lead and inspire those around him. He should be our first-choice GK and captain. His age is 33, but I think he can play as GK for at least one more season. Our second GK plays aggressively and has high eccentricity and teamwork ability.
I don’t know if he can be a good offensive initiator. It needs to be proved. But too much eccentricity is generally risky for goalkeepers.
Our defensive line is young. The oldest player is 27. BaoZhen Cao is a fullback (DL) on the team, but I think he can be a good defender (DC) too.
His preferred foot is left, and his passing is not too bad for a defender. Although his defensive skills are a little weak, he has high speed. I think he is a good left-sided DC.
How about our midfielders? There are seven midfielders on the team. I think they have weak control in midfield, because their abilities are not good enough. We are weak in midfield.
There are four strikers on the team. They have high speed and high eccentricity. But their shooting and dribbling skills are average. Ding Bong Guo is the best striker on the team.
He is fast and strong enough, but he needs to improve his shooting and positioning.
We don’t have a wing forward on the first team. A wing forward with high speed and dribbling skills is very important for some formations like 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1.
This is our first team. They are not perfect, but good enough for the league. We will develop a tactical system for them.
